HEAT STRESS IS DANGEROUS: PREVENT HEAT EXHAUSTION
People feel most comfortable at a core body temperature of 36.8 to 37.2 °C. All processes in the body function best at this temperature. At 38°C you already feel weak and exhausted. At 39°C you have a fever and stay in bed. Just 1-2°C makes a huge difference. Studies have shown that employees wearing protective clothing at work reach a body temperature of 38-39°C within 25 minutes. That’s a fever!
