HOW HIGH IS THE RISK OF ACCIDENTS FOR YOUR EMPLOYEES IN HEAT CONDITIONS?

    • You can even hear the effect: summer has barely arrived and the police are already making more calls and ambulances are being called out more often. The heat reduces our attention and reaction time while at the same time increasing our irritability and willingness to take risks. This results in significantly more accidents.

The latest studies by Statistics Austria show the serious effects in no uncertain terms: At temperatures above 25 degrees, 11 percent more accidents occur. This confirms what the Federal Highway Research Institute and the University of Wuppertal found years ago. If the thermometer rises above 32 degrees, the number is even more than 20 percent, and at 37 degrees and above, there are more than 30 percent more errors and accidents. The German Road Safety Council (DVR) sums it up well: the higher the thermometer climbs, the higher the risk of accidents.

Since, unlike many workplaces, most cars have air conditioning, these numbers are enormous and the risk of accidents in the workplace is therefore likely to be even higher.

Have you ever thought about how many accidents among your employees are caused by a heat problem? And what economic consequences this has?

HOW CAN YOU REDUCE THE RISK OF ACCIDENTS?
    • So the question is: How can a company survive the increasingly extreme summers unscathed in every respect? The answer is simple: with a preventative cooling strategy. This will keep the error and accident rate low and prevent your employees from putting their energy into unproductive aggression and arguments.
