CARE INSTRUCTIONS
E.COOLINE cooling clothing is – in contrast to most other cooling functional textiles – washable.
All our items can be washed by hand or on a wool wash cycle without the spin function at 30°C using the Special detergent ‚DEOXX® ecowash‘ (alternatively: TOKO® ecowash) washable. However, due to the different chemical compositions, we cannot guarantee this.

Q: How often can I use the cooling vest?
A: You can use the cooling vest as often as you like. Many customers have been using it almost every day in summer for years. Quote from a customer: "It's great for cooling and resisting nasty temperatures, I water it twice a day".
Q: Can I freeze the product?
A: To get the optimum cooling experience of up to 660 watts of cooling power, the cooling products do not need to be pre-cooled in the fridge or freezer. But you can boost the product if you like it a little cooler, if there is high humidity or if you use the product under airtight clothing. To do this, you can place your E.COOLINE product in the refrigerator for approx. 30 minutes or simply in the freezer for 10 to max. 20 minutes. Please do not leave it in the freezer for longer, otherwise it will freeze due to the 3D high-tech structure, become unpleasantly hard and can also be damaged if used several times while frozen. Q: How often should I recharge the filling of the cooling vest?
A: The high-tech fleece dries through evaporation of the water and can be reactivated at any time as soon as you need cooling. The technology itself does not need to regenerate.
Q: Which cleaning methods are available for the E.COOLINE vest?
A: You can simply wash the cooling vest in your washing machine at 30 degrees on the wool cycle. Then simply hang it up and put it on again. Dry cleaning is also possible. LINK to washing tips
Q: How does the vest feel when worn? Does it stick to the skin like a wet T-shirt?
A: The product is dry and comfortable on the outside. When you put it on, it feels slightly clammy at first as you immediately feel the evaporative cooling. Quote from a customer: "After wearing it for a short time, the vest is only pleasantly cool. Sticky and damp? No, I've definitely never felt that before."
Q: Does the cooling vest also work if clothing is worn over it? Or does the vest have to be the top layer of clothing?
A: The vest works both over and under "normal" clothing. The clothing over or underneath remains dry. If you wear clothing over it, you should make sure that the clothing is very permeable to air. Q: I normally need a size M. What size do I need for this vest?
A: The sizes of our tops are based on the chest circumference. Size M is for a circumference of 96-100 cm. Experience has shown that it has fitted everyone who normally wears a size M. To be on the safe side, however, you should measure your chest circumference again. You can find the size chart in the "Size chart and care instructions" section.
Q: How does it work? Does it need to be put into the water?
A: Simply activate the cooling vest under the tap with approx. 0.7 litres of tap water, dry it off and put it on. Or spray water over the front and back of the vest or immerse it in a sink of water for max. 1-2 seconds until all padded areas are darker. Squeeze out excess water, roll the cooling vest tightly in a towel and then allow to air dry briefly. The outer fabric is immediately dry again and the product is ready for use.
Q: Does the vest contain small beads that get bigger when wet?
A: Play Video No, the technology consists of a soft, supple 3D fleece that is able to absorb 10 times its weight in water and only release it again through evaporation. The water is therefore bound in the material and only escapes through evaporation, so it cannot be squeezed out. The product is therefore dry in 1-2 minutes after activation by briefly rolling it up in a towel and is immediately ready for use.
Q: How heavy is the vest when it is soaked with water?
A: In addition to the specified weight (this information can be found under "Further information"), the weight of the SX3 cooling vest depends on the amount of water you use to activate it. For example: If you use 500 ml of water, the weight of the vest is approx. 700 - 750 g (depending on the size of the vest).
